At a meeting on April 17, some residents presented a proposal for keeping the organization going. Although the reasoning behind the JBCSI Board's recommendation to dissolve the corporation was presented, a vote on dissolution of JBCSI  was not  held.

At a meeting held on April 5 and  attended by about 25 residents invited through Facebook, the JBCSI Board presented its recommendation that the corporation be dissolved.
The Treasurer explained that the reason that JBCSI was created no longer exists (the Jocko Point Volunteer Fire Department), and the corporation is now left managing a severely under-used Community Centre.

In addition, she handed out spreadsheets showing that the Community Centre's expenses by far exceed the net income donated through fundraising.
The Board proposes dissolving the corporation before the insurance renewal date, which is June 22.
